LES ROIS / DRIEKONINGEN

Epiphany is hardly celebrated in The Netherlands these days, but it's still very much alive in France. It's especially fun to celebrate with kids, family, or with co-workers. On January 6 (but in practice, during the entire month of January) it is time for the Galette or Brioche des Rois, an almond paste-filled cake topped with a paper crown. The cake is divides among those present, and whoever finds the stone figurine (careful with the teeth!) in their slice, is King/Queen and gets the crown. Both the Galette and Brioche des Rois contain a stone figurine. The Brioche contains no other filling than plain Brioche.

I make Galettes and Brioches des Rois from December 31st until January 31st. I recommand to order them on the webshop. You can as early as 28 days in advance. And 3 days before the pick-up date at the latest.

My products are made by hands, not machines. Shape and colour may differ from the photo.
